Building "A" (DEPFI)
The Electrical Engineering Section is located on the second floor of the building "A".
In this place you can find the full time professors cubicles,
a student room, and the Control Laboratory.
At the Control Laboratory the students do their
assignments, homework, and thesis work, inside a friendly environment.
The Control Laboratory has the next equipment and tools:
- Two Sun workstation (a SparcIPC and a SparcStation5).
- Several PC connected to a local network. Simulation and numerical analysis
software is available such as Matlab/Simulink, Simnon, Omola/OmSim, Maple V.
- AD/DA boards.
- A controller board (data acquisition and processor board) dSPACE ds1102.
- A Programming DSPs Kit.
- A deskjet printer network.
- An inverted pendulum experiment.
- A ball & beam system.
- A seesaw system.
- A three tank system.
- Two thermal process (PT).
- A 2 DOF robot manipulator (It was made by master students).
- A 5 DOF RHINO robot.
- A 2 DOF flexible joint robot.
- A DC and AC motor Kit.
- An analogic computer (Almost museum piece!).
- ...besides DMM's, scopes, voltages and current sources, tools, etc.
